Yes, I can imagine the reappearance of Rose and/or Marina.

I came in last in the 1960s Trivial Pursuit game last night, but I did find out what that Bobbie Gentry song is about, and I knew it could only be LHO, "...who scored 212: two marks above the minimum for a 'sharpshooter' in his Marine Corps test?"

Rabbi David Ashear's Living Emunah 4: Achieving a Life of Serenity Through Faith, fifth impression October 2023:
31. The Power to Change Nature
"There are so many levels of tefillah. Rabbi Dessler said that he once asked the Chazon Ish a question: 'In the Amidah, when we start our requests, we ask for the beautiful, spiritual gifts: wisdom, closeness to Hashem through Torah, forgiveness, and redemption. Then, at the peak, we change direction and begin asking Hashem for physical needs such as health and money. Why?'
The Chazon Ish answered: 'These last two requests are actually the pinnacle of our spiritual requests. The wisdom and closeness to Hashem that we attain through our first requests bring us to the ultimate understanding that Hashem is the only One in charge of everything. It enables us to see through this mirage called nature so that when we do ask Hashem for healing, we'll know that it is not the doctor who is going to heal us; it is Hashem. When we ask Hashem for parnassah, we understand that it is not the customers who are giving us our livelihood; it is Hashem. We know with perfect emunah that Hashem is behind it all. When we pray with that recognition, we will be fulfilling the positive commandment from the Torah of emunah, which is the foundation of all other mitzvos. So those two berachos are very powerful.'
The power of our tefillos depends on us. The more we recognize Hashem's authority over the world, the greater our prayers become (94-95)."

From Julian Barnes's Departure(s) (2026):
"'No,' she replied straightforwardly. 'It isn't curable, but it is manageable.'
It would be managed first by drawing a fair amount of blood from me, and then by chemotherapy—not being hooked up to a drip, but in daily, oral form. [Keytruda/pembrolizumab?] Until the condition stabilizes? No, for the rest of your life. That's what 'manageable' means. The condition will accompany you to your death. It probably won't kill you, unless there is a further mutation. But otherwise you shall die with, rather than die of, the condition.
[...] In my own case, I had prepared for its first months by ordering a thirty-DVD box set of Ingmar Bergman films. Some friends though[t] this a bit weird, if not actively morbid: 'That'll be a bundle of laughs.' I protested that Bergman was underrated as a humorist. I didn't add that great art is always consolatory. The box set arrived and contained a number of films I'd never seen, and some I'd never even heard of. But their tone was set early: the first film was called Torment, and the second, Crisis" (45, 50)."
