Thank you, for reminding me, of James Hite's Learning in Chaos (1999).

My maternal grandfather, who is 101, was found dead after aspirating on his dinner. The ward was closed for the alarmingly high aspiration rates earlier this month.
102. He had a good day. The day before he was giving away things in his room because he had to get ready for a funeral he did know who.
*he did not know whom*

What I find fascinating, rereading this, is that there was this attempt to explain a noösphere and an Omega Point on Earth, without G-d.
Folly.
I have this book, Krakatoa: The Day the Earth Exploded 27 August 1883.

Thank you for reminding me about the saguaros after the explosion of Krakatoa. I want to revisit that.
Also, thank you for reminding me of the Venus Flower Basket (Euplectella aspergillum).

" You see, Venus' Flower Basket is also home to bioluminescent bacteria, meaning it glows brightly in the gloom.
Two intersecting grids of non-planar cruciform spicules define a locally quadrate, globally cylindrical skeletal lattice that provides the framework onto which other skeletal constituents are deposited. (Weaver et al. 2007:93)"

I mowed and finished yard work at both residences, and then grilled the remaining lamb racks for dinner.
I did not want to work over these days, but the grass was so long and I work the rest of the week. Keith helped too, so I had to take the help when it was offered.
