Jane Siberry's Temple

My favorite--this song (and its remixes)is a collaboration with Brian Eno, Gordon Downie and Jane Siberry. I take her a bit like Annie Lennox or Kate Bush. The tussle at the end reminds me of a Jacob fighting the angel scenario in a chapel perilious, but we know what the "temple" means.

The dancers seem like the theme of Joni Mitchell's latest, Shine, which used the Vancouver Ballet.

I am not closed to the experiences of astral travel; after the nightmares and sleep anomalies of my youth, I found the confidence to channel that energy, and lose my fear. The only thing is, I want to connect to the person I love, yet anyone or anything assumes the identity to connect indiscriminately, which is why my door is selectively shut. I do not shut you out intentionally.

No, not this, but I reminded myself of the source of Doris Lessing's first novel, The Grass is Singing (1950).

According to this definition, I was not here, either.

Given the circumstances, and the risk of misinterpretation, I surrender this song to a passing fashion, and there is nothing to regret.
