SETTING COURSE FOR THE HELIOPAUSE

Out where the solar wind gives out, beyond

the farthest planet, your widespread sails’ desire

collapses. Or, it would. The bodiless ice

of space would harbor you, if the grave bonds

that hold you here let go, if you were hurled,

fantastic clipper pushed by protean streams,

past the heliosphere. As in a dream,

you’d leave, released. Like lust, love would furl.

But now you see he’s touched you, in his mind

again. And more than touched. The other word

waits at your lips. You laugh. Your loosed heart stirs.

A whirlpool swirls, wanting’s unwanted stars.

Still you set sail: you’ll sing, where last land grays

in thinnest light, sharp chanteys of slow rage.

My perception of time is couched in geological timescales and pressures. Rhyolite is classified as a felsic rock due to its high concentration of silicates, like granite. This article suggests that rhyolite composition relies on the iron and magnesium rich like blood parent, mafic rock. http://m.petrology.oxfordjournals.org/content/44/9/1703.full

I am overly paranoid someone besides the recipient is reading this, but my attempts at clarification are even worse. Since December 2012, there is no one else I mean to channel.

While giving it a try, Gentry Lee could not conceive of the vision of the subsequent books from Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama (1973). I have them up to the fourth book, and I might be obliged to read them all and search for lacunae.

https://www.fictiondb.com/series/rama~13876.htm

"The various complex structures that could be seen hanging from the dome overhead were perhaps no more disconcerting than the pendent candelabras in some great concert hall of Earth" (105).
